Chin Chun Wah, born in 1941, graduated from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts in 1967 and became a founding member of the Singapore Watercolour Society in 1969. As a budding artist, he led several art groups here in the late 1960s to early 1970s and was known for his sketches in pen and wash - a painting technique where he uses marker pens and watercolours to depict scenes with light and deft strokes. After graduating, he worked briefly at the former Radio and Television, Singapore, the Ministry of Culture, as well as the Housing and Development Board as an artist and designer. In 1977, he left the painting scene when he joined developer, Far East Organization as its advertising manager. Fast forward 43 years, he is now back in the art scene with a greater passion than before.
